Hi there!

As most of our regular website visitors know, this site was set up to support the work being done on a school reunion to celebrate the 20th anniversary since the "School of '86" sat the Leaving Cert!  Well the reunion took place on September 16th 2006 in the function room of the Foxhunter, Lucan. The night was a huge success and attracted almost 100 students and teachers and a great time was had by all.

By request, I put out the "feelers" for another reunion, this time to mark the 25th anniversary to be held in Autumn 2011. I was not going to drive this myself. I had about 45 replies, 35 yae and 10 nae. I then put out the topic of a new organiser for the event but to date, have not had anyone coming forward to take the job so it appears that school of 86 is now to be a good memory of the last decade.

I will keep the website up and running until the end of 2011 and then close it off. Enjoy the photos of days gone by while you can and thanks for the memories.

The souvenir DVD has proved to be a huge success but it appears that alot of people never received their copy. I have made about 40 extra copies and will bring these along to the meeting up in the Ark on the 16th. I have also designed a dvd box cover which I will print out and circulate. All you then need is an empty DVD box available in the Euro2 chain of discount shops and you have your very own Speilberg masterpiece!

I also will be posting copies of the DVD to people who cannot make the 16th but have been in contact to advise me that they never got "the one in the post!" Copies will also be made available to the teachers and those abroad etc.
